Chamios – (Rupicapra Rupicapra)

These goat-antelope like animals were introduced into New Zealand in 1907. They are
native to parts of Europe.
They roam freely amongst the Southern Alps
Both the male & female sport vertical horns, the male horns are generally bigger than
the females. They can run and jump with ease over the mountainous terrain.
